Hon. Uche Obiozor is a seasoned administrator, development-oriented leader, and public servant whose career has been defined by integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of the people of Imo State.
As the current Managing Director of the Imo Transport Company (ITC), he has led one of the most significant institutional transformation programmes in the corporation's recent history. Under his leadership, ITC has undergone extensive operational reforms, including the digitalisation of revenue and ticketing systems, improved transparency and accountability, fleet modernisation, the introduction of a franchise model, expansion of transport units, stronger staff welfare, and disciplined corporate governance. These reforms have helped restore public confidence in one of Nigeria's oldest state-owned transport corporations while improving efficiency and service delivery.
Beyond administration, Hon. Obiozor believes that leadership must produce measurable outcomes. His approach combines strategic thinking with practical execution, ensuring that institutions are strengthened, resources are better managed, and citizens receive quality public services.
He is also inspired by a family legacy of national service. He is closely associated with the late Professor (Ambassador) George A. Obiozor, one of Nigeria's most respected diplomats and intellectuals, who served as Nigeria's Ambassador to the United States, Ambassador to Israel, and later President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. Professor Obiozor's lifelong commitment to education, diplomacy, excellence, and nation-building continues to influence Hon. Uche Obiozor's philosophy of leadership—one rooted in service, knowledge, and responsibility.
